When building your own PC or purchasing a BTO computer, the most difficult thing to worry about is how to choose a CPU and a GPU (graphics board). Every year, new generations of models come out and improve performance, so it’s important to stay on top of the latest trends. Here, we will explain the latest performance trends of CPUs and GPUs, as well as key points on how to choose one for each purpose.

CPU (Processor): Fierce competition between Intel vs AMD In the CPU market, Intel’s Core'' series and AMD's Ryzen’’ series have been engaged in a fierce battle for market share for a long time. ・Intel Core series (13th/14th generation): Features a hybrid architecture that combines the high processing power “P core” and the power-saving “E core”. It delivers extremely high performance not only in gaming, but also in video editing and multitasking. ・AMD Ryzen series (Ryzen 7000/8000 series): Among the latest models, the “X3D” model (equipped with large-capacity cache), which specializes in gaming performance, is gaining overwhelming support from gamers. It is also praised for its power efficiency and long-lasting motherboard sockets (easy upgrades).

GPU (graphics board): AMD challenges NVIDIA’s power NVIDIA’s GeForce series is leading the market for GPUs, which determine the rendering performance of PC games. ・NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series: DLSS 3, a powerful image complementation technology that utilizes AI, can significantly increase frame rates even in high resolution (4K, etc.) and heavy games. In addition, the performance of ray tracing (a technology that realistically depicts the reflection of light) is overwhelming. ・AMD Radeon RX 7000 series: Compared to NVIDIA products in the same price range, it is characterized by high pure rendering performance (rasterization performance) and excellent cost performance. If you don’t care about ray tracing capabilities, this is a very attractive option.

Find the balance that best suits your needs, such as Ryzen X3D + GeForce RTX if you specialize in gaming'' or Intel Core + GeForce RTX if you also do creative work.''
